What is an e-Visa?
The Egypt e-Visa is an official travel document that allows foreign nationals to enter Egypt for tourism or business purposes. It replaces the traditional visa-on-arrival or consulate-issued visa, making the process faster and more convenient. The e-Visa is issued online and sent electronically to the applicant once approved.
Eligibility & Requirements
- Available to citizens of more than 70 countries, including EU member states, the UK, the USA, Canada, and Australia.
- Requires a valid passport with at least 6 months validity from the date of entry.
- Travelers must provide accommodation details and a travel itinerary.
- The e-Visa is valid for tourism or business purposes only.
Validity & Duration
- The Egypt e-Visa can be issued as a single-entry visa (valid for 90 days, allowing one stay up to 30 days) or a multiple-entry visa (valid for 6 months, with stays of up to 30 days per visit).
- The validity begins from the date of issue, not the date of entry.
